About me
Marla has been teaching Transitional Kindergarten (now PK) since its inception in Irvine Unified, and previously worked as the Early Childhood Education Specialist in the School Readiness Program at the Early Childhood Learning Center where she taught a variety of classes and workshops supporting adults and children from birth through age 5, including parents and children learning together and professional development for teachers. This is Marla's 20th year in Irvine Unified! In addition to teaching PK, Marla is one of the Pre-Kindergarten Mentors for the district. Marla received her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at California State University, Fullerton and her MA in Early Childhood Education from the American College of Education.
